Manhattan interior designer Clodagh designed these rooms with sex in mind.
Um, duh, of course it makes total sense to design a space to enhance the activities that will take place there. That’s called good feng shui. So when I read a recent interview with Clodagh, the interior designer of the new W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, I was tickled by what she said:
“People have more sex in hotel rooms than anywhere else, so it makes sense to design with sex in mind. For one of her latest projects, the W Fort Lauderdale, she positioned the beds for a positive feng shui effect and added a strip of light nearby for subtle night-time illumination. The strip is gelled for a soft, flattering glow so that, as she quips, ‘everyone can look absolutely fantastic even if they don’t have a great tan.’
Ok, so yes, it’s very Florida, but it’s also clever and I bet it feels sexy in there.

So yes it’s summer and of course I need a bikini. It’s hot and I’m going to the coast with my boyfriend in a few weeks. Oh what’s a eco-fashion lover to do? I found these; problem solved. So boyfriend…what do you think?

These sexy suits by Ashley Paige are handmade from hand-woven sustainable material in California. I love the style. But not so good for my tan lines and I don’t think there’s much boob support here. This would be perfect for the smaller boob Goddess. Next.
More from Ashley Paige…

This is cute. Night bathing suit. My boobs would be seriously hanging out…

I wonder if this comes in bigger sizes.

Very Farah Fawcett.

Kelly Barry’s ruffled creation is made locally in California from 90% Organic cotton with 10% Spandex to keep it on. $124 at BTC Elements. I think this one would might be good fit. I like the top which offers nice frontal support. Not sure about the thick bottoms. I’ll have to try it on. Maybe it’s her ‘way too skinny’ look that’s throwing me off.

All Aaron Chang’s suits are made from recycled plastic bottles and 100% organic cotton. Cute suit on the left. I like the mixed match top with bottom. Carolina, this reminds me of one of your suits.
And lastly….

Anna Cohen crafts this suit using surplus fabric leftover from making Olympic speed skater uniforms. $98 at BTC Elements. I really like Anna Cohen and this one looks like it could be a perfect fit. Simple string bikini.

How could I possibly pass up natural lip moisturizer with the name Chicken Poop on it? So here’s the deal. Chicken Poop lip moisturizer is very earth loving with all natural 100% pure non-GMO soy, jojoba, sweet orange, lavender and beeswax.
According to Ilovechickenpoop.com, “The name….Chicken Poop comes from the creator’s (Jamie Schmidt) goofy grandpa replying to her complaint of having dry lips. He’d say, “I know how to fix those dry lips, I’ll rub some chicken poop on ‘em so you won’t be lickin’ ‘em.” That’s very charming. I can perfectly imagine that. Oh, sweet grandpa.
I hear chicken poop is very popular these days….Click here to see more.

The San Telmo Antiques Market in Buenos Aires, Argentina is the place to be on Sunday afternoons. Blocks and blocks of cobblestone streets are closed to anything but foot traffic and the place pulses with the life of a city that loves to eat, dance, sing and shop.
You can spend the day selecting eco-chic antique treasures for your home, catching a tango band on the street corner, sipping a tiny cup of espresso while the locals pass you by, attending mass in a beautiful cathedral or dining in a fabulous Italian restaurant overlooking the center of it all, the Plaza Dorrego.
On my recent visit we only had one Sunday in Buenos Aires so, naturally, we did it all! While it all was incredible, my favorite part was the colorful antique stalls, full of so many good things I wanted to take them all home with me.
Instead I brought back these photos which capture the essence of San Telmo.

What do you think?

Question: I would like to paint my front door a new color. Are there any colors that are a “no-no” in Feng Shui? Is shiny black O.K?
LS - Portland, OR
Cheryl: Here’s my answer. Traditionally, in Feng Shui, the door is painted red. Since the house in feng shui is sometimes seen as the body, the door is considered the tongue and when it sticks out, it’s like the red carpet at the Oscars; hot and fiery and where a lot of positive energy can find you. However, it’s not always pleasing to the eye to use red since it might not compliment the exterior palette. The door is the point of entry and in my opinion, it should be bright and happy, something that lifts your heart to the sky. Since I’m not a traditionalist and always consider how the heart feels, I would advise you to consider how a black door might feel to you. And if it feels right, go for it.
