oh precious water; to conserve you is to love you

Okay so yesterday, March 22, was World Water Day, In 1992, the UN General Assembly designated March 22 as “World Water Day” to draw international attention to the critical lack of clean, safe drinking water worldwide.” Source: World Water Day

The idea is to bring consciousness to our precious water sources and figure out ways to conserve. What can we do? Lots. Drink filtered tap water instead of buying bottled water imported from far away. How about something so simple like when brushing your teeth, turn off the water until you are ready to rinse….I know, I’ve had to get used to it too but I can’t imagine going back. Take that thought to the kitchen sink. Let the water in the sink fill up and then re-use it to soap up the dishes. Yeah, that means turning off the water until you’re ready to rinse…and fill up the dishwasher before you hit the on button….These things are actually a lot of fun and guess what? You’re helping to save the planet…

Lets get serious everyone. Water is an intelligent substance, capable of so much more than we give it credit for. Honor it by bringing its life back. Its energy back. It deserves it. We deserve it. The planet deserves it….
