is a compost bin in your love area ok?

Question: Oh Queen of Feng Shui… I do ask of your wisdom. In looking at our entire property, our compost bin is situated in our love and romance corner. Now I could look at this as either icky or life giving. Am I correct in understanding that it is truly about “intention”? Our love and romance isn’t suffering, but hey… who doesn’t want the BEST they can get from that area? So, if you can, please share.

Cheryl: Here’s my answer. You’re right about intention and it sounds like you are an earth loving creature that cares deeply about Her. That’s evident in your composting practice. The love area encompasses all your relationships including the planet and composting is a wonderful expression of that love. Just make sure the area is clean and beautiful to look at. You might ask yourself, what is surrounding the area? Are there trees and/or flowers or junky stuff? Make it a space that you love to go to when you compost. How about infusing some romantic energy with colorful flowers, pretty rocks or another symbol that grounds your relationship with your partner? To give you an example, my boyfriend and I just painted two red rocks together (one for his house and one for mine) with affirmations of love written on each and then placed with intention in the corner of each of our love areas.
