interior design magazine thinking green

March 2008 issue of Interior Design Magazine. It’s my favorite issue so far…

Have you guys seen the latest issue of IDM? Oh my Goddess (!) was I excited yesterday when I got mine in the mail. Check out the cover! Re-imagine, re-new and re-design.

For those of you who are not familiar with the publication, it is big and fat and only available to the trade. It reaches industry people in leadership positions who have the means to shift thinking in design to sustainable and green. I love how the cover image shows a mush of reusable material hovering above an empty space, inside a chic, high end building. The man standing in the middle of the room, gazing upward, implies ALL the design possibilities available in reusing materials. More importantly, however, is the implication of a huge shift in thinking that is permeating our planet right now. I’m extremely optimistic!
