Eco-California becomes the first state to ban perc
By on June 2nd, 2008
Hangers Cleaning does not use the toxic chemical Perchloroethylene.
You know that icky toxic chemical called ‘Perc’ that is used in normal dry cleaning processes? Let me tell you a little about it. It’s been known to cause headaches, nausea, neurological, liver and kidney problems. Yeah, not-so-good for humans or the planet. Not anymore, says the state of California who just banned its use in dry-cleaning, totally phasing it out by the year 2020. Beautiful. Can you please hurry it up?
“What have they replaced the process with?” you might ask. It’s very interesting. Click here for all the details.
