Right now one of my favorite design trends is to hang a chandelier in the kitchen (feminine influence) and place a farmhouse type table smack dab in the middle of the room. It feels yummy and the energy in perfect harmony. Above photo via Sköna hem.

I think I’d spend most of my time here in this kitchen if it were mine, although, I’m sure I would replace the light fixure with a fabulous chandelier. The fireplace adds an additional level of cozy to the already cozy act of eating and gathering with loved ones.

I love this concept of elegance in the kitchen. Heck, it’s where I spend the majority of my time and why be a scullery maid when I want to feel like a princess in the kitchen!

Beth, I know what you mean. The kitchen is also one of my favorite spaces in my home. I also love thinking outside of the box when it comes to decorating. When it comes from the heart, it’s our truest expression.
