I was with my client yesterday–international girl’s snowboarding clothing sensation, Betty Rides working on the interior of their chic headquarters here in Portland. The girls that work there left me a cute note on a bright pink post-it note that said, ‘For Feng Shui Chicky’ attached to some furniture tear sheets. CEO, Janet Freeman and I chose a fabulous low voc (earth-friendly) hot pink-Yolo Colorhouse Petal. 04- for accent walls and low voc Divine Twighlight for the bathroom. Coming up next are eco-silk luscious draperies to frame the royal pink and white glow. I’ll post before and after photos here. Thank-you Janet for my eco-chic Betty Rides re-usable shopping tote that says global love vibe in different languages. P.S. Any of you who watch the show, ‘The Bachelorette‘ might be interested in knowing that the latest bachelorette has chosen her man who happens to be from Portland and she’s blowing through Betty Rides this Friday to pick up some of BR’s chic clothing. Check out BR’s blog next week for details.

This adorable and and eco-stylish coin purse offered by Eco-Handbags is perfect for summer and fall. I love that it’s handmade from a mix of 100% repurposed candy wrappers, soda labels and food packages and it’s fairly traded. Funny, its black and white stripes remind me of the old packaging on Juicy Fruit gum. That makes me giggle. Bonus: It’s water resistant which is perfect for where I live in Portland Oregon. That and its affordable price of $30 bucks.

Ok, so here’s the idea. For every pair of (adorable and cute) Toms shoes that you purchase, Toms will give a pair to a child in need. The company has given over 10,000 shoes away to children in Argentina and 50,000 pairs in South Africa, thanks to its caring customers. Check out these fabulous styles available for men and woman, with an affordable price tag that range from $34 to $55

Cute and adorable Tiny Toms for kids, cost $34

I love this style. The words written on the shoes are from Gandhi’s famous quote, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world. How’s that for an affirmation on your feet? Love it. Cost: $42

Thank-you Carolina.

So yes it’s summer and of course I need a bikini. It’s hot and I’m going to the coast with my boyfriend in a few weeks. Oh what’s a eco-fashion lover to do? I found these; problem solved. So boyfriend…what do you think?

These sexy suits by Ashley Paige are handmade from hand-woven sustainable material in California. I love the style. But not so good for my tan lines and I don’t think there’s much boob support here. This would be perfect for the smaller boob Goddess. Next.
More from Ashley Paige…

This is cute. Night bathing suit. My boobs would be seriously hanging out…

I wonder if this comes in bigger sizes.

Very Farah Fawcett.

Kelly Barry’s ruffled creation is made locally in California from 90% Organic cotton with 10% Spandex to keep it on. $124 at BTC Elements. I think this one would might be good fit. I like the top which offers nice frontal support. Not sure about the thick bottoms. I’ll have to try it on. Maybe it’s her ‘way too skinny’ look that’s throwing me off.

All Aaron Chang’s suits are made from recycled plastic bottles and 100% organic cotton. Cute suit on the left. I like the mixed match top with bottom. Carolina, this reminds me of one of your suits.
And lastly….

Anna Cohen crafts this suit using surplus fabric leftover from making Olympic speed skater uniforms. $98 at BTC Elements. I really like Anna Cohen and this one looks like it could be a perfect fit. Simple string bikini.

Only a creative like JooYoun Paek, an interactive technology artist could come up with designs that blend humor and function so well. Pillowig (shown at right) is a pillow sewn onto a cap that creates a wearable headrest. I mean who would’ve thought to create such a fabulous piece of art? Not me, but I’m inspired by it and think I would actually wear it. I know my friend Robyn would. Think of all the comfortable naps on planes, trains and buses one could take. Oh, and the fashion statement alone. It’s also adorable…
