Ok, I am an Apple person—nothing against you PC users out there. I used an HP laptop for a few years…but I’ve recently returned to a Macbook which has really changed my life in magical ways…Just the sheer simplification of my life in terms of usability….Oh joy…
This beautiful creature, the Macbook Air was recently presented by Steve Jobs and apparently, from what Treehugger is saying, he was very excited about how green the 3 lb. Air is.
As stated by Apple, “It doesn’t have mercury or arsenic in its LCD and glass. The aluminum frame can be recycled. The circuitry is PVC free. And there is less packing material than other laptops.”
I do hear you Greenpeace and I know you are not happy with Apple’s greening process. But I say, change has to start from somewhere. One step at a time. We cannot simply go from A to Z without some B’s and S’s in between…And in the process, many of us will be inspired to continue to support eco-friendly products.
