little bubbly car of the future and it’s my birthday!

It’s my 40th birthday today (big night tonight!) and the site of this baby put a smile on my face. This itsy bitsy little pet hybrid car of the future by Honda, named Puyo was first unveiled at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show. Isn’t he cute? Yes, he’s definitely a boy. More photos.

“The PUYO’s meant to convey a warm, friendly impression and bring together ‘clean’, ’safe’ and ‘fun’ functionality in an environmentally responsible, people-friendly minimalist design featuring an ultra-high efficiency, small frame and fuel cell technology.” Jalopnik

And I love this. “It’s called the PUYO, a Japanese onomatopoeia expressing the sensation of — please don’t laugh here — the design team worked very hard on it — “touching the vehicle’s soft body.” Jalopnik

Oh shiny and soft Puyo. With you, who needs a boyfriend to cuddle with? (Me kidding) Your skin is glowing.

tesla giving birth to a sedan

Okay, as a self-admitted chic eco-geek the news of Tesla’s new Whitestar electric sedan at a more affordable price tag of 50K seriously sparked my internal flame.  According to AutoBlog, Tesla’s founder Elon Musk confirmed that a working prototype will be finished by the end of the year. As soon as photos are available, I’ll share them here and post them on my inspirations board. I feel an electric-car revolution underway where electricity will be sourced from renewable wind and solar. Mitsubishi is currently exploring the options. Get on with it, baby.

a cute boy committed to eco-driving

Okay so he’s more than a boy. We all know George Clooney has been named one of the sexiest men alive. What’s even sexier than his body, is his earth conscious mind. He is shown here next to his electric Tango one-seater but word on the street has it that he’s set to buy a Tesla next month. I agree with George, “We going to have to get away from oil.” You said it Baby.

Hot sexy eco-love-making mobiles of the future

A heightened sense of awe whirls and wushes through my body when I see amazing and innovative designs. And this, Baby, is no exception and I am a girly girl. Check out these sexy and magnificent vehicle designs by this year’s fourteen graduates of the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom (ohhh, those Europeans)

Oh you long, sleek black manly man. Wanna go out?

“Competing for the 2008 Pilkington Automotive Vehicle Design award, their projects ranged from a fresh take on eco-design to finding new ways of expressing personalization. A couple of the students even challenged the status quo by designing boats for an imaginary future destroyed by global warming.” –WallPaper.com

Baby you are a smooshy bat-mobile if I’ve ever seen one. You look like so much fun.

I had to include this beautiful alien. You are a cross between a snake and a jelly fish.

How sporty is the red dot on the road? Very.

More details from Inhabitat: “The Think Car is a small compact electric vehicle that is capable of running up to 100km/hr (62 miles/hr) and can go 180km (112 miles) on one charge. It’s cost will run about $25,000, making it the perfect vehicle for the urban dweller. At the moment, the Think City is the only vehicle from the Oslo-based manufacturer to be commercially available in the US. However plans exist to introduce a SUV crossover, called the Ox.”

I think this is going to appeal more to the boys.
