high design creatives think feline friendly house

I had to stare for awhile in awe of the way the Japanese designers at Asahi Kasei created this modern home, (Plus Nyan) with their loving feline companions in mind. What a perfect way to blend aesthetics and function into one space. Every area is utilized to encourage exploration, exercise and the perfect view out the windows, without compromising beauty.

That potty solution (on the left) is one many of us are going to try to copy. There’s always that question, “Where do I put the litter box?”

On the left, an outdoor structure has been created to give cat access to the outdoors. Very clever.

For more information and if you can read Japanese, visit Asahi Kasei or for English speakers, visit Apartment Therapy (.com).

fall in love with this baby red panda

This this is the sweetest story. Look at this tiny red panda cub (shown at left), recently rejected by it’s mommy at a zoo in Amsterdam, and then adopted by the zookeepers house cat. The baby is shown nursing on it’s new mommy.

Red pandas are a rare species, don’t get bigger than an average sized house cat and are not related to the giant pandas. They are also an endangered animal. Shown at right is an adult red panda. Isn’t he the cutest?

translucent sea creatures to love

Every so often I’ll see something so magnificent (like this cutie pie above) I’ll simply have to just sit for a minute in awe. Here’s one of those times to celebrate the planet and Her wonderful sea creatures. These photos were taken by National Geographic Magazine.

Looks like a double-faced blow fish to me.

Oh sassy, cute little alien with pretty eyes and you Mr. Walrus look like a wise old man.

being a vegetarian is sexy

Alicia Silverstone professing her pink skin in a green world. Oh it’s so very sexy and eco-chic. This earth lover told UK TV host Graham Norton she put her four dogs on a vegan diet…”As a perk of the dogs’ no-meat diet,” Alicia swears, “They don’t fart anymore.” That’s hot girl.
