can a paper sofa be comfortable?

I wondered that myself when I saw this beautiful new sofa design by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka.
I later learned that only the prototype was made in paper to elicit a deeper meaning.
As the designer shares, “The prototype, might be a reminiscent of clouds in the sky and flow of water, which are breathed in one’s memories. I decided to use paper in order to make it conceptual.” The product itself will be made in fabric.
Italian manufacturers Moroso, will present the sofa at the furniture fair in Milan, Italy this month.
The sofa called, “Cloud, Paper, Sofa” was born out of the designer’s fascination of the elements of nature, because as he explains, “they are not deliberated on purpose but they have the beauty born of coincidence beyond human imagination.”
Just beautiful. Creativity in motion.
