breaking out in show tunes and following a dream

Every since I was a little girl I have always adored show tunes. So much so, that as an adult, (especially when I’m feeling a bit gray,) I’ll put on my favorite show tunes cd which happens to be the best of many collections, too many to name here. And yeah, I’ll just break out and sing and dance! It always makes me feel better.

So getting to the point here. My dear friend and fabulous writer Linda Scarlett just turned me on to (Portland based writer) Marc Acito’s video, “Attack of the Theater People”, which is as charming and it is heartwarming. You’re going to love it! My heart melted and brought me back to my little girl self, which is very much alive, singing and dancing.

By the way, heart warming and charming both fall under the category of creativity, which falls under self-care and following your dream. That is very healing to the planet.

Hey Mark. By spreading your creative love, you are helping Mother Earth. But….just out of curiosity, do you recycle?

Thank you so much for posting the video. Getting a novel noticed is an uphill climb and I need all the sherpas I can get.

As for recycling, green is the word. Here in Portland we have curbside, which is great and I try to go further by bringing the plastic shopping bags and plastic containers to New Seasons. It’s driving my partner crazy but all the plastic containers that aren’t recyclable are stacking up in a garage closet. I have a vision of someday creating an enormous piece of art that comments on the incredible waste of our society.

    Thanks again.

Marc, you are a seriously rising star. I can feel it. And as for your growing collection of plastic containers, I can’t wait to see your future art project. I think it will highlight the beauty of re-usable items. Have you seen the latest issue of Interior Design Magazine? I think your art project fits in that room. What do you think? Thanks for commenting! –Cheryl
