Welcome to Planet Pink n’ Green!
My name is Cheryl Janis (that’s me on the right, outside of my design studio) and I started Planet Pink n’ Green a little over a year ago as a place to talk about interior design, feng shui, and issues concerning the environment.
It was also an outlet for creatives (just like you and I) to express our creative endeavors, new ideas, the arts and culture.
At the time I was busy with my interior design practice and wasn’t happy with the lack of eco-friendly resources available to my clients.
As a result, I went out into the community, and found resources that were beautiful as well as earth friendly, educated myself and my clients in the process, and met some inspiring people.
I ended up producing and starring in PPnG video blogs that highlighted some eco-chic pioneers. You can watch those on the Video page.
Planet Pink n’ Green has since then developed into an online magazine (with hundreds of stories and links, videos, and guest bloggers!) dedicated to reporting on the Cultural Creative Movement.
Cultural Creatives are a growing demographic of people (there are several million of us) who believe in the importance of following our passion(s) and collaborating with others to enrich ourselves, our communities and the world around us through a deep concern for authenticity, optimism towards the future, and involvement in creating a new and better way of life.
In short, we are fueled by creativity and get off on what’s original, aesthetic, resourceful and thought provoking.
We offer daily news stories about ideas, artists, designers, architects, craftspeople, writers, eco-preneurs, and businesses that are working towards a better, more thoughtful and connected world.
We also discuss things that we care about like the environment, sustainable living, arts and entertainment, and self-improvement.
PPnG includes me (Chief Cultural Creative who wears many hats), contributing writers and other creative visionaries who have made the site possible.
Planet Pink n’ Green continues to evolve and grow in many directions. Really it is just a place to celebrate the best parts of being human. It’s also a growing collective of people who contribute their unique stories, get inspired and passionate about ideas, and come together in a commitment to care for our surroundings.
The world is changing. I’m grateful to be alive at this time, and to be contributing to the dialog on its evolution.
Take a look around, enjoy the content and as always, I welcome your questions, comments and suggestions.
