a modern home nestled in rural portugal

Perhaps it’s simply that time of year, or a moment in time where I’m dreaming about sunny spots in Europe that encompass a sense of light and airy, far from the woes of fluctuations in the stock market.
The above home designed by Portuguese architect Bak Gordon and photographed by Leonardo Finotti is located near the West coast of Portugal in a village called Sobral da Lagoa, in Óbidos. Notice the windows glazed in different colors.
The house which was built on a plot in-between two other homes captures the sweetest views.
The light and airy interior is like a blank canvas waiting to be painted. My heart goes pitter-patter and my mind is filled with an abundance of ideas. That and me planted right in the middle of it.
I love the introduction of the new (architecture) without imposing itself on the tradition of the village environment. There is a blending here that is subtle, and if you look very closely, you can see me in the swimming pool.
